To be honest, the G8 is great for passing, but not truly sporty in my opinion. When I drive twisty mountain roads, I leave it behind and take my little convertible. I'd bet your STi would leave the G8 far behind on those roads.

@PapaPanda: I have a gray G8 GT. It's great!! I just got done driving it. :)
@middlejester: Thanks. I'm following Rutledge's example.
4) Because Rutledge Wood dies in the first episode?
A couple of them look like the wheels don't turn, so I guess they are for straight-line performance.
@MaWeiTao: I agree. Drifting is the slow way to get around the track. I just don't get the appeal.
Top Gear UK is entertaining at least in part due to the witty comments and pointed humor. Jezza and May are articulate and knowledgeable, while Hammond is a likeable foil. Everything I've seen about Top Gear USA suggests it's more like Jackass (which, admittedly, I've never seen). Rutledge Wood comes across as…
@IS300M: Yup, that's a good one. I sold my 1998 ES (same color) less than a year ago. Bought it new and put 206k miles on it. It was utterly reliable—always started and almost no issues the whole time I owned it.
@hawkeye18: Gotta agree. Performance and handling are terrific with only minor upgrades. (And mine has no problem keeping up with my friend's RS4 on hardcore twisty mountain roads.)
I like the way it takes a bow at the end!
@inthesticks: It's an excellent book. I re-read it every 10 years or so.
@rufusmacblorf: Damnit! Why can't I get the image links to work lately?
@The Slurpee Man: Go for it! I'll cheer for you from the sidelines.
@TheAntiCat: I thought about using this photo instead, but I figured it was too unflattering.
Some say... those plastic cars are in fact his children, and their mother was a Bugatti Veyron. All we know is... he might be the Stig.
@pauljones: I'd hit it with a rock. Is that the same thing?
