Come back, man. I, too, stopped playing D2 for about 6 months. Since my wife plays, and still enjoys it, I ended up getting Forsaken and it fixed about 90% of everything I was hating about the game when I quit. It’s worth your time now, honestly.

My only real exposure to this series is on the 3DO, but goddamn did I love Star Control II on that console. I played for so many hours. In fact, I’m pretty sure I actually finished it.
