No. The debate is if there should be a different standard for a campus than there is for a state. And there should be when the victim is part of the campus. That’s why assault (or probably battery) is a reasonable comparison and DUI is not at all.

Do you not see the fundamental difference between rape and DUI? The more fitting comparison would be between rape and beating up a fellow student. In each case, there’s an on-campus victim pressing for their tormentor not to be a daily presence in his or her life.
