I'll admit, the goatee on Garfield and hairline on Jon made me laugh out loud, so my expectations were surpassed.

Hmm, I missed Lillian talking about the press coverage somehow, but I caught her saying "Oh, farmers…" over and over. That was… imagination-stoking.

I assume we all had the same reaction when we read this headline: "Who?"

John Ennis doesn't get enough credit for his classic "I'm going to be on the news tonight" scene. Great execution there.

Makes perfect sense.

I'm guessing he's not playing the title character.

Now I'm hearing Peter Dinklage saying "Let's just say the script moved me… TO A BIGGER HOUSE!"

This is even funnier because the only role of Matthew Broderick's I can think of around that time is Cooter Burger from 30 Rock. Who, come to think of it, is a pathetic, nebbish guy who has a (really minor) blow up over a slight. ("Cooter Burger? What am I, a cartoon dog? And it wasn't even a burger! It was a ham

Right, he might as well be saying, "Why yes, I am a leprechaun. I fart rainbows and shit pots of gold."

Oh man, Dinklage's delivery on "That wizard came from the moon" even sounds like he's thinking "I can't believe I'm saying this crap out loud."

My SO has wanted me to catch up on Buffy / Angel at the same time, and has insisted we alternate the episodes in the chronological / intended order. Unsurprisingly, I stalled out at Buffy season 4 / Angel season 1; I've seen exactly one episode in the past year.

1)The Shield
2)The Wire
t3)The Sopranos
t3)Breaking Bad
5)Deadwood

The fanwank justification I've heard for things like the "Cinco de Mayo" line is that Mackey felt he had carte blanche because he had Gilroy's protection, and that ran out pretty early in the series.

Then let me GET to know you, dammit!

Fartin' Gary? Is that you?

I totally find Rick the most relatable, but that's because I think of myself as a super-genius whose potential is constantly held back by the constraints of modern, polite society.

I love how his "hype man" voice is basically the same across all such characters, whether it's "Blips and Chitz Announcer" or "Ants in My Eyes Johnson."

I ain't talkin' about you, Zaxxon. There's white people made'a gas… you know what I'm saying.

Yeah, I suggested to @wallflower he cover the show pretty much for that reason. I don't know if you ever saw his writing on The Shield, but I consider it essential reading:
