Do you have to be unwell yourself or just a trump acolyte to buy this nonsense? I ask because I know someone who posted on our town hall Facebook page suggesting that the symposium was very well done and that people should really tune in to see how definitive the evidence was. This person strikes me as being unwell.

Agreed. Literally the only gymnastics event I can watch without fear is the pommel horse.

Bucks fan over here, and here's my two cents: my brother in law lives in Seattle, and when the Bucks picked up Karl, he told me that I'd like Karl at first, but he'd wear out his welcome pretty soon and I'd end up despising him. Karl took the Bucks to the ECF, decided that they needed more toughness, acquired an over

It’s been such an ambivalent two weeks for me. On one hand, the IOC and everything associated with bids and the like are all bullshit of the highest order. On the other hand, I love seeing the competitors do their thing. I simultaneously love the Olympics and hate the fact that they took place.

“I say this because I know that the only thing they love in The South more than guns and hating black folks is SEC football.”

Ive loved watching Felix compete since she was in high school, and I’m going to miss her after this year. She’s just incredible.

Great point. The corollary to this is all of the howling from repubs who are all about, "ooh, look at what ____ is doing/saying! How do you feel about that?" I think that person is a steaming pile of shit, and I have higher expectations. I'm not going to give someone a free pass because of a political affiliation.

If Trump is exhibit A in the New York category of Failsons we hate, Cuomo is a strong B.

I had a version of this conversation with my daughter this morning, and my comments went a little something like this: just because a person is, in theory, on your side, doesn't mean that person isn't a bag of shit.

Preach on. The whole thing is really fucked up, to say the least. After the Cole case, a panel recommended that Mensah be removed because there was a strong chance that he might kill again in the line of duty. No fucking shit! Yet he was able to step down.

Even better: he quit, got severance pay, and got a job in Waukesha county, where the sheriff said it was a good hire

Glad to see this decision, but I don't really know if it means he's actually going to be charged. There was definitely an undercurrent of "Leave Mensah alone" by cop sympathizers last year when people started showing up at his house, shouting, and vandalizing his house. Like, the dude has killed three people, and none

And they'll blame Biden for the shutdown instead of acknowledging that these assholes are almost exclusively Trumpers who still can't admit how poorly he managed things and how hard he and his people have worked, and continue to work, to undermine progress

“. . . that’s a shit ton of assholes who think they know better because of some shit they saw on FB."

That, and the old truth that they love you when you're on top and bringing glory to the organization, but the minute you slip up, they're kicking you when you're down.

That report has been attributed to a coach, which is particularly fucked up.

I'd have a hard time finding a generation where it's not prevalent

And yet I know women who defend him. I had a conversation with one specifically who said that these girls were all groupies who knew what they were doing and that I'm a fool for believing the charges. All this because I said Kelly was a garbage human being

Pretty please? This asshole deserves no anonymity.

Giannis can barely speak English? Are you stupid? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read. I'm guessing that either you've never heard Giannis speak before, or your standards for speaking English are impossibly high.
