When I'm really concerned about my safety, I typically go out drinking at a bar with my mom.

In my experience and observation, people who talk like she does in this instance are banking on the fact that you're not going to call their bluff. I've also seen an episode of this show where man and woman take a serious ass beating.

Also: as president pro tempore of the Senate, Thurmond was third in line to the Presidency. . . At the age of 98.

I'm from SC, and I can confirm the Strom Thurmond thing. Also, fuck that guy.

Sort of like Susan Collins thinking Trump learned his lesson

There's exactly zero percent inaccuracy in your response. They're all shit people who seem to have no standards of decency, and they're definitely illustrative of the legal system double standards

Totally agree. I've driven a lot of the back roads from Milwaukee to northern illinois. There's a TON of bars

That's where I'm coming from. I have several friends and acquaintances who've been owners and bartenders/ cocktail waitresses, and they always knew who their customers were. You know exactly what kind of people you're trying to welcome into the bar --- bikers, factory workers, sports fans, college kids, affluent

Here's the thing: in Wisconsin, it's legal to take your kid to a bar and get him liquored up. I know people who have used this fact as grounds that they did nothing wrong. That may be true, but here are other things that are equally true: his family is a bunch of shit people, and I'm going on a limb and saying the bar

People tell me it's petty and that I should let bygones be bygones. I don't listen to those people. Every single person who fell under the puzzling thrall of trump needs to be dragged as much as possible. I don't think they ever deserve to be let off the hook for what they've enabled

Since most rules are arbitrary, here are mine:

I was going to say he'd have been shot for coughing in her general direction

What you're saying is a fear that many people have expressed --- that Trump is a shortsighted oaf who is blindingly incompetent. What happens when the next asshole up is competent and calculating?

I think your argument is solid. As an SC native, I now follow state politics from afar, but that's my impression of Graham and a lot of other Trump sycophants. They believe they need the support of the Trump base, and they can I'll afford to lose that support and/or piss them off.

I’m skeptical about these chucklefucks being punished as harshly as the law allows, but it’s at least rewarding to check the news each day and see new and spectacular stories of their buffoonery. Mind you, I'm not taking their actions lightly --- January 6 was a clear threat to the Capitol --- I'm just enjoying these

Did I have to immediately look the track up on YouTube? Sure. Do I like your style? Most definitely. Bonus: it's only about 90 seconds of music.

I overlooked that obvious point. The entire family is a bunch of assholes, and much of their popular appeal comes from the fact that they're a bunch of trolling dicks.

I asked this question to a college friend of mine who also grew up in South Carolina: what went so wrong in Graham's life that he's this desperate for Trump's approval?

Don’t be so cynical. I always arm myself and wear body armor before I leave the house to go out and talk shit to people young enough to be my own kids

That's my fear. Any sensible person knows they're all full of shit, but a disturbing number of people, namely Trumpers, believe these jackasses have leadership qualities and the talent needed to run things
