I get that part. I just recognize the inconsistency in the way he’s been handled. Why did a guy who was having an affair on the company dime keep his job? If the FPC wanted to demote him, why lay out a plan that they had no intention of working with him on? Also, as a MKE resident, I'm seeing the shit job the FPC

I'm more than a bit conflicted here, probably because I've met Morales a few times and found him to be a likeable guy. He made some mistakes as chief. I'll not deny that. However, the FPC is also full of shit and gave Morales a series of expectations last month that there was no way he could meet. The commission is

And that's the bottom line, IMO. The family's entire existence over the last decade and some change is based upon building and maintaining the brand. That's all. If Kanye was costing the family millions, then (and only then) they'd do something.

Right. At our virtual board meeting last night, one parent letter (from a former student of mine, no less) pointed out how devastating it would be for a kid to spread the virus to someone else who eventually died. How do you come back from that? I stated something similar upthread. My dad lives in SC, and I live in

Not sure about that. We're starting virtual for at least a month, so I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I'm definitely curious, though.

I'll give the Tl;dr warning right now. I'm a teacher and a parent. Our BOE voted last night to start virtually for six weeks. Many parents are not happy. I get it. I'd much rather be in school with my students, and I'd much rather my son start his freshman year at his school in person. However, throwing open the doors

SC native here, graduated in 1988. We always started mid August and finished before Memorial day. Early August does seem like a bit much, but perhaps they are starting early to accommodate for Covid related issues, closings, and cleaning.

For sure. She had to have been afraid. A street castration would have been appropriate justice.

Another gimme. If you say you don't see color, I assume you are saying that so people won't think you're racist.

Definitely. If you say you're not a racist, I'm feeling pretty good about assuming you are a racist.

I'm a teacher, and I believe that I have a duty to help my students whenever I can, and that includes not putting them on blast on social media. As such, I had a DM conversation with him about some of his comments and memes. My approach was that I can't judge what's in your heart, but you can see where it certainly

Mind boggling. For instance, I’ve known these two guys for twenty years, and I’m friends with them on Facebook. One of them posted a meme about Trump being a racist, and the other one asked what makes Trump a racist. He doesn’t actually think Trump is a racist, and he said, “I guess that makes me a racist, then!” I’ve

A lot of these people see themselves as neither hateful not racist. The disconnect is so powerful in a lot of them that I don't believe they're capable of seeing themselves thusly. It's nuts.

That place really went downhill after the grumpy old men died.

And incredibly quiet crickets at that.

And you nailed it. These folks piss and moan about being oppressed. They've never felt real oppression. For that matter, neither have I, but losing the ability to watch sports in person isn't the textbook definition.

Yes, but not if the NCAA beats them to it.

This is much worse. Bush was a dope, but I felt like he was a decent guy. Trump is nothing but venom and spite. He lives every day of his life trying to harm people. That's a big difference.

This has long been my fear. Yes, I want him gone. I also believe he's going to set every fire he can until inauguration day.

He also believed that fans came to the games to watch him coach. Narcissistic asshole.
