Did he replace the stock master cylinder with a larger bore version?
This is written strangely. The cylinders and pistons (which you don’t describe) have nothing to do with the titanium connecting rods.
Using a wire wheel without safety glasses? This guy is out of his mind.
People crap all over these 60+ month auto loans but they make great financial sense if you’ve got a low interest rate.
If you can borrow money cheaper than the nominal return from the market take that loan every single day.
In an F 150 no thanks. I towed at the limit with the last 3.5 and it was not a fun experience by any stretch. If you need to haul over 9k+ I’d go with a 3/4 ton.
These trucks can do amazing things on paper but they don’t translate into reality.
This I-6 will not be coming stateside, at least initially.
Power to weight is the only thing that matters. If it weighs 3600+ lbs that’s hardly what we’re after.
Why are you covering these jack-holes?
Dry air is very important. Corrosion inside the wheel is still a serious issue. Pumping in swamp air is not going to help the situation.
I’ve talked to the guys at Blackstone, they’re cool but they don’t know shit coming from an OE engine research lab perspective. It’s like getting 1/2 a check up at the doctor.
No, sorry but you’re incorrect.
Seals don’t work that simply, you need to test fluid compatibility it’s NOT as simple as matching viscosity. I’ve done this compatibility testing for OE suppliers, it’s not something you can do at home.
The answer is real easy, use the MB approved fluid. If in doubt it will be listed on…
I was hoping there’s a rebuilder out there. SLS when working is great, it’s not a very complex system contrary to the internet. (Much simpler than the MB w126 4 wheel systems) It’s just that if the shocks are blown it’s expensive, the accumulators, lines and other bits are actually quite reasonable.
Oh please, get off your ass and stop whining. You’ve jumbled together a cry piece and nothing more.
You NEED to use the MB or Pentosin compatible fluid or it will leak.
Any less costly options for e38 hydropneumatic rear suspension?
The emissions cost to manufacture a car is at most 10% of it’s total life cycle emissions. Having run 400k it’s likely 1/2 to 1/4 of that.
MA Kar Makes SO MUCH POWAHH I need to sit on it!
Seriously, 80 lb bags of gravel are $4 each.
My local dyno shop kept 8-10 of them in fabric bags (old theater ballast bags) to add a bit of extra weight to a car if necessary.
IF YOU NEED TO SIT ON THE CAR GO ELSEWHERE.
Seriously. If your dyno operator asks you to sit in/on the car you need to stop the test and find a more competent/ safety focused operator. You’re not 180 lbs of ballast.
Yeah. This guy does not understand happy medium.
I’ve run Super Sports on my WRX, they were awful 95% of the time. I took them off to save as track rubber and went with DZ 101's. Substantial saving, I get more than 7k out of a set and they’re not super noisy.
As a weekend rocket sure, go crazy with tires. As something…
