We have an issue of what you determine as “nice” vs what I or Joe thinks is “nice”. Coming from the FiST the Subaru is going to be a step up, maybe a 1/2 step. When I go from my 750IL to my WRX it feels like I’m stepping into a wet turd but I’m not Joe my experiences are different.

Try buying a 4 year old HD truck, they’re priced almost new with 60k on the clock. You’re arguably better eating the fuel costs because you make it up in the residuals 3-4 years later.

When I can buy a Fiat 500e for ~$8k with 20k miles not really. When Elio first came out it was novel and had a role, now one generation old EVs fit most of that niche.

It’s not a power problem. My 79 Rabbit with the 1.5 NA diesel made 48 hp, it kept up just fine with modern traffic. Hell my 3600 pound W115 with a worn out ~65+ HP does just fine, I all but DD it.

I know of the guys who designed that interior and personally the STA’s who had to make it work. It’s no where near the quality of what you get from BMW/Mercedes. Flat out Ford can’t match them, the Fusion Vignale is as close as they get and they’re not meeting their benchmarks.

The Subaru interior is plain but not cheap. It’s not like the Fiesta/Focus by any stretch.
