LSPI has been a known issue for a very long time. There have been several great SAE papers/presentations of the subject with both modeling and real world testing.

The answer for the consumer is don’t give it WOT or lug it under 2,000 rpm if you don’t trust the calibration engineers.

But they did not start development with IAV until around 2012. There was no engineering reason they had to stick with the Metro architecture.

They’ve solved this issue.

Why do they care? They set their own margins, they made their money.

They’re smart guys, they did not pull a MSRP out of a hat and run with it.

That’s the best job they could do wrapping the leather? The leather wheel in my Fiesta looks better.

These need to be 10x the current price. The amount of traffic these signs generate is massive.

Your timeline is off.

The Fox 1.o has been around since 2012. That engine was on the horizon if not already available when Elio started working with IAV.

Did you look at the cars they toured with? The build quality was simply awful. The Chinese cars at the Detroit autoshow from 2009 we better.

You’re on to a big part of it here.

I can not fathom why the Ford ecoboost 1 liter was not sourced. Even in NA form it would have been a perfect fit.

Gary Wetzel has no idea what he is talking about.

The cabin is pressurized but at higher altitudes it does not hold a constant pressure (like an airliner) thus there is a need for supplemental oxygen. They same general design philosophy has been in use since WW2.

If you missed the “Italian Happening” at M1 Concourse in Pontiac you missed out.

What’s the visibility like?

that looks far more like the first generation of water-cooled VWs like the Passat/Dasher and Golf/Rabbit

They’re not going to develop a whole new engine for a car that sells 7,000-5,000 copies a year. You’re out of your gourd.

You don’t get it. That won’t work with factory packaging and durability.

As a hot rod sure, but Subaru does not build hot rods.

America TG needs to become Roadkill antics with a bit more mainstream appeal or practicality.

You need to better understand automotive packaging. There’s only space for a 4 cylinder. So unless you want them to develop a whole new engine (laughable) it’s simple not possible based on what SUbaru currently produces.

I’m not so fancy. I used a U haul trailer and sleep on the ground like an animal.
