One day you’ll eventually learn the value of a car which makes you patient.

You realized you can have more than one car right? Each fills a role. My w115 is relaxation through mechanical clatter. The feel of the steering, the plush suspension all set up a car that’s meant to cruise not swerve in and out of traffic

It’s not about going fast.

They force you to relax. They make you go a bit slower, a more gentlemanly pace where you enjoy your drive. You’re not trying to punch a clock when you drive one of these.

Check out this NHTSA paper on just this topic:

Using children to push your politics. Awesome.

The 1 liter or the 1.6 ST are the only motors worth the money to build a rally car around.

Good luck getting financing.

You’re almost always better going with the more modern car for the same price.

Real coal actually smells pretty good. It’s almost sweet.

Absolutely false. You’ll see 40+ out of a TDI even in stop and go traffic plus you’ll see better economy at high speeds 80+ when the traffic frees up.

I’ve had a dozen TDIs, and had a Prius as a work car for several months. The Prius did better but no way in hell can you even get a TDI into the sub 30 mpg range.

Please

That’s not his idea. I’ve seen that done as far back as the mid 80's. It’s a good idea if you’re rated to weld ASTM pressure vessels. If not it’s safety concern.

Because no one has chopped the top of a car before.

A 25 foot cabin cruiser weights around 9k with trailer a 34 foot cruiser is around 14k.

??? I can rev match downshift into first gear at redline. You need to double clutch it but it’s fine.

The 020 in my GTI lasted 30k miles before I sold it without a single grind in the box.

I love that little 2.2, it’s plenty of power. Yeah you’re going through the gears but that’s the best part.

I just replaced almost the complete brake system on my ‘94. It’s not bad with about 800lbs in the back. It’s when you get a trailer that it really pushes me around.

To be fair surge brakes on a Uhaul trailer don’t help me at all.

A commercial truck has properly sized brakes.

Try and S-10 towing 4500 lbs right around the time when all the school busses hit the streets in the afternoon....then it starts to drizzle...

Things gotta get done, you just need to plan ahead...

How else you supposed to shoot at the ze Germans?

That’s what I figured.

It was 100% Uber hits. This is the first almost anti Lyft article.

The advertising dollars are shifting.

Going very slow speed crawling it’s nice but anything over 10 mph and it’s a pain in the butt.
