Happy (late) 20th birthday, Toonami!

And every last inch of him's covered in hair!

Very Friendly Dog-owners

At least they got a singer lead for Lion King.

Visually, sure. But Sleeping Beauty also has the boringest leads.

Maybe Jim Henson-style puppetry could have worked. Might be a bit creepy but probably a lot cuter and more appealing than these CG monstrocities.

Anime News Network's podcast was in love with Your Name and neither of the hosts really care for Shinkai. Given this is his first mainstream hit, I think this might be the one everything finally clicks for him.

I liked season 8 too. It was really only season 7 which I really disliked.

He's one of those "radical centrist" guys who thinks homophobia and calling people homophobes are both equally bad.

This was a fun episode. Though I'm already afraid because Navy uses the word "refugee" some idiots who don't understand context are going to interpret this as some sort of anti-refugee statement.

The most believable possibility in my mind: Lapis dies in Season 5. Sugar probably has a good story reason, but Zuke, who's already been attacked over her ships, takes it as a personal afront. Sugar gets angry (she's said that Ruby is the Gem most like her so I can see that happening), Zuke interprets it as

TTG's status as "show that's always on" is especially baffling when you consider it's not even a CN Studios show, but a WB show. Yet none of the other WB shows get even close to the same level of treatment; most of them are banished to Boomerang, and Justice League Action, the one other DC show that you'd think they

So the rumors about them leaving are true, which increases the odds that the now-deleted blog people based the rumors off of was real, which increases the odds that either Sugar's secretly a terrible narcisist or Zuke seriously believes they are. :(

How am I being a hypocrite? And it kind of is my business because I am autistic

Maybe don't use autism as an insult?

As shit as the Attack on Titan live-action movies were, the special effects work on the titans was AMAZING in those. Shinji Higuchi's talents were well-utilized in Shin Godzilla.

Shin Godzilla>American Godzilla. If we're doing Fukushima allegories with flat characters and minimal but awesome monster action, I prefer the one with a sense of humor.

It was up against Zootopia, The Revenant, Force Awakens, and The Martian (which of that grouping probably should have won).

They actually really love Clint Eastwood. He's won the Foreign Feature award almost every year strangely.
