The problem is that console games are designed to run on specific hardware. Therefore if the hardware changes the game may not run properly. It wouldn't matter if the game data was coming off a disc or the internet.

That was not really an issue for the majority of titles (Skyrim's the major one I can think of). But, assuming the rumours are true about PS4 ditching the CELL processor then it should be even less of an issue next gen. The unusual architecture was what I usually heard blamed for any lack on the PS3.

I have that issue on my iphone too, although it only affects the comments for me. Sometimes its fine until you expand the replies to a comment and then the writing goes off the screen but if you collapse the replies it comes back. Strange.
