Hehe, I did read about the OVA for it, never watched it yet as gore/guro content isn't my thing (although there was some content such as h-manga that I have come across that did have guro stuff in it and was really, really detailed. I guess some of the artists are probably has studies in biology or something).

Not the strangest thing I've seen (Junji Ito's Uzumaki come's to mind) and it pretty tamed for me. I actually laughed out loud as soon as the weird stuff came to play. The ending didn't make much sense, just made me raise an eyebrow to it.

Probably another big problem that this show has to deal with: Making the audience remember what happened in the show. If the show can't make people remember what happened, there is something seriously wrong with the writing.
