Yup. Where can I get tech news without all the social justice rage inducing clickbait?

The irrational nature of both this and Germany’s post WW2 stance this long after the end of hostilities, was/is not helpful. Better to make the tough decision now and be prepared than be forced to make it while unprepared.

Sorry...couldn’t resist. Seriously, though, I think this change in stance and policy with regard to the Japanese military is very positive and timely considering the situation in the South China Sea and overall in APAC. I, for one, applaud it and welcome them to the fold as a full-blown ally.

I don’t care that she’s white. If you are attempting to make a point that something is racist against AAs, you don’t immediately go and make a racist joke against whites in the next sentence. It shows you are a hypocrite. Bad form for a writer.

Do you mean, “You’re going with statistics?” Why yes...yes I am.

It’s always hilariously ironic when a person writing an article is accusing someone of racism and then goes on to talk about something being the “the whitest activities two people can do” later on in the article. If you can’t talk racism without being racist yourself, you aren’t qualified to talk about it.

They can infect any warm blooded mammal and are only a threat to kittens, and then humans, upon initial infection before the kittens immune system renders it non-infectious. It’s a very small window and almost entirely limited to feral kittens who have a steady diet of infected mice.

Still used even in Home Depot where one cat can clean out a whole store of a problematic infestation. Difference is these are typically feral cats that make a home in the store and used to hunting. More importantly, their urine and feces will smell of death to a mouse or rat.

I like the idea of transparency but this knee-jerk push is going to come back and bite us right in the ass in the digital information age. Our competitors and enemies don’t follow the same rules and won’t have to. And while forcing ourselves to do so, as part of a free society blah blah, sounds nice, it won’t actually

Kinda tough to do in the city, but I absolutely agree with this. I have an agreement with the spiders in my apt. You stay in the corner and don't scare the women folk, I leave you alone to handle all the delicious flying insects you want.

Try cutting off the wifi, see if that works better.

I put seven of these in the 24-year-old son’s room. Didn’t work; he’s still in my house. 0/10

Purchased my first Android phone recently (Moto G3, coming from Windows Phone) and I’m totally dismayed at the update mess. While I enjoy some of what Android will let me do over WP, it isn’t worth the headache of buying a phone to only have it not update supported as early as a year later.

Well, it would be helpful if Google hadn’t given the power of updates to manufacturers and carriers. Like my old tablet that got an update in Japan, but not the rest of the world. On identical hardware. Just...fuck everyone else.

Sounds like you want someone to talk you out of keeping the membrane which better suits your needs. Only drawback is they tend to be larger.

Or if T-Mobile is usable in your area, pay $30/month for unlimited text and data (up to 5GB of LTE) and 100 minutes a month. Granted, it’s not a lot of minutes but who talks anymore, right?

For those that see this as a waste because the amount is so small please consider that most small non-profits will benefit from any amounts coming in. I help run a small 501c3 and we are always happy for funds that we did not have to bother people to raise. If we got all lifehacker/reddit/insert favorite site here
