I had a very weird appreciation for that movie when I was a kid, and I still cannot explain why. I was 13 when it came out and yet, I watched it so many times. It was also my very first introduction to Stephen Fry, so in retrospect, I thank the movie for that.
That would be quite impressive if he did play him in this movie.

Sure but we weren’t all complaining about that. Some were, some weren’t. And just because they wanted originality, and quality unbroken games doesn’t mean they want to play this. There’s a million games to play. People like the action in those games you listed, but this sounds like a depressing story-heavy walking…
I mean you can. There's plenty of original games that come out or AAA games that break the mould. Games that are also commercial successes. Season just isn't as good as the author of this article is making it out to be.
