Who did he offend?
I apologize for my quip in light of this new info. I would delete it, but unfortunately I have no idea how. And I agree, that would be awesome, especially from this gentleman. Maybe it will be a series!
My point was I would love to hear more about his experience. I wasn't trying to be an ass, although I can see how it came off that way.
And just imagine the marketing possibilities of a "prison gym" or "ex-con trainers" ... I'm not advocating glorification of crime, but an honest outlet for productive jobs on the outside.
In regards to equipment, I would imagine safer equipment would be nice for the prisoners. It may actually cut down more on medical costs related to lifting injuries than it would cost to get some equipment. I'm sure they could make due with a close-out sale from some local gym (just an example).
Great point! I have no idea why he didn't write this essay with you in mind!
Yeah, guys who are worried about their standing amongst a hyper-macho environment where they are in danger of being shanked every day are definitely going to be motivated to learn economics. The Wealth of Nations isn't going to stop someone from raping you.
Bingo. Mental and physical ability is not mutually exclusive.
Why not have both? Exercise and weight lifting can help make for better learners.
As a longtime weightlifter (more in the realm of strength training, not the aesthetics of bodybuilding), I would advocate for MORE equipment in prisons. Stress relief, along with a constructive and often creative outlet. I'm not talking $10,000 treadmills, just real weight sets. The basics.
It's kind of incredible how little you end up missing meat. I'm not a full-time vegetarian, but I regularly go vegetarian for extended periods of time just to switch it up. There's so many options for vegetarians and I think people assume it means just eating salad.
"Just a game" is becoming a pretty tired excuse.
" any simulation is a set of assumptions. So there is bias in any simulation, depending on how you look at it. A lot of people thought when they played SimCity we were really biased to mass transit. It's interesting. One of the fun things is that a model like that gives you something to reflect against. In fact, when…
No, it's not okay, but it happens so laughably little that bringing up the point is just completely useless.
It's also saying that games can't be meaningful and that they don't deserve the protections we give to other forms of expression.
Lets start with something basic; it's DinoPark Tycoon. Lets just get that fact straight.
Is it possible to create a prison management game without trivializing or misrepresenting the issue of mass…
"A Toyota spokesman quibbled with the BBC, noting that the hardware driving the car had to be physically connected to it, therefore not rising to the level of a "hacking."
Well since you say so, he may just as well quit now. No point in going any further, some anonymous person on the internet with no discernible credentials says there's a problem.
