This isn’t a direct comment on Nate Parker so much as a general question this raises for me...

Yeah, the quiet, thoughtful ones are usually secret freaks. It’s a beautiful thing!

Yeah, I don’t get the big deal. They’re SportsNerds! Phelps smoking pot is considered the “bad boy” here! I doubt they have very interesting moves and I’m confident their pillowtalk is pedestrian at best.

So am I sexist if I don’t like the sound of Hillary’s voice but don’t have a problem with Michelle Obama’s or Elizabeth Warren’s voices? Are women just allowed to have shitty public speaking voices sometimes?

“They compared policies for two hypothetical men and two women who shared the same car model, address, and driving record. They only changed socio-economic traits, and they found that insurers charged between 40 and 90 percent more”

My son isn’t quite 3 and knows the difference between a Therapod and a Dromaeosaur. I love him so I let him watch Dinosaur Train instead of political speeches.

Maybe I’ve just been #blessed with the cream of the crop of Conservative Intelligentsia because my experience has been a lot of conservatives name-drop Ayn Rand when they want to look like “radical forward-thinkers”. They’re mostly the faux-Libertarian post-Tea Party types, though, so that might be part of it.

Now playing

I don’t know where you’ve been. A large amount of conservatives who fancy themselves as “informed” at least pay lip service to Ayn Rand. How else would Atlas Shrugged have gotten made into multiple movies in the 21st century?!

I think you are maybe replying to the wrong post because nothing you’ve replied with has had anything to do with what I wrote. It’s not even a matter of “contradiction”.

You’re good at reading.

Yeah, when they get indignant over a liberal’s condescending atheism just bring up Ayn Rand’s stance on the subject. After they recover from their seizure, then bring up her stance on abortion.

Where should we send the $2?

Maybe it’s time people start setting up straight-up Cosplay Conventions. That way the people who want to get stabbed in the crotch with a plastic Final Fantasy sword because everyone stops randomly to take pictures of each other can enjoy that experience. Then the rest of us can go back to going to comic cons for the

This reminds me of other instances of internal conflicts within other religions throughout history. How would they have gone had there been an internet to beef all over?

Humanity is why we can’t have nice things.

It won’t hurt Republicans because they want this stuff to be true so bad that they will ignore any actual facts to the contrary. The base wants to believe they’re crusading for the cute babies and the politicians want those crusaders’ votes.

I think the problem is that

That’s the problem with American conservatives. Since “divine inspiration” and having “elders” and “experts” “interpret” scripture for them are considered real and valid things, someone only has to be convincing and charismatic and people will go along with it. They have specific buzzwords and other “benchmarks” for

What does this say about his record as a surgeon?
