Sessions could never be fired because of the consequences it would create for Trump in the senate. As much as news personalities wanted to play up the potential of Trump canning Sessions—and as much as Trump probably wanted to can Sessions—it was never something Trump could do.

Al Franken is not a safe or trustworthy person to have in power. Period. He can be replaced by appointment by the governor of his extremely blue state, hopefully with someone WITHOUT a history of sexual predation.

I understood from the new enforcement priorities that people who hadn’t even been convicted but *might* be removable due to pending charges are enforcement targets now; but you work on that side of the law, so I’m sure you know better than I do.
