No, they did test positive with the rapid test, and that was shown to be a false positive when they did a full PCR test.

I feel rrpete hit it on the head. There’s way too much societal pressure on the need to fit into a specific mold. Add in the fact that we still have cases of women being turned down for positions just because of appearances and it’s no wonder that cases like these have been on the rise.

I think the current trends are to blame for that, along with the rise of influencer culture and the hyper-focus on having an “Instagram” body, or similar. Lots of terrible factors all coming together to create a really toxic expansion of what was already a dangerous practice.

As a fellow cyclist, this is why I’m starting to avoid road biking. Luckily I have a bike trail near my house, but I don’t trust drivers anymore. Either they are distracted or assholes to cyclists. No need to try to kill cyclists since they are making you to get somewhere slower. We take up the lane for our safety.
