Yeah, I know that La Leche can be militant and anti-fact when it comes to breastfeeding. Instead of helping breastfeeding people they’re trafficking in guilt and shame. It’s hard enough being a new parent and they take advantage of that to push breastfeeding.

I’ll join the chorus of voices saying that of course no one should be forced to stop breastfeeding but this particular case does not seem to be an order to stop feeding breastmilk.

There’s plenty of times where good employees get cut for less severe reasons to be “made an example of” or “on principle.”

I can see this angle, too.

In an article where Marie Kondo’s race and culture has been brought into this, then yeah, there’s an element of white women being victimized by the systems they uphold in their household, personally, by marrying men who don’t clean and culturally, where women are seen as the party at fault if the house is messy.

There’s a high limit to what people in the US will accept in our capitalist hellscape but it’s curious that Sheetz thought, even for a moment, that “The public is going to be on our side with punishing a domestic violence survivor in a country without free access to dental. Our policy is reasonable!”

All it would take is some opponent showing her celebrating a non-Christian holiday or in ethnic clothing for her to be finished.

Good for these wedding planners, honestly.

If someone can get to the stages of cohabitation, engagement, marriage, and procreation without figuring out whether their partner grumbles about going to the grocery store, hates cooking, hates doing dishes, etc. I don’t know that fixing “society” is going to help either party.

We’re not hearing from men who clean precisely because cleaning is “for women.” Your average man feels emasculated by childcare and dusting.

Cleaning content is aimed at women because women are expected, by society, to keep their houses clean. Men are not targeted with this content because men are not told to value clean spaces/domestic labor.

Solid advice.

How can we have discussions about domestic labor that don’t factor in men?

Conservatives WISH that The Gays were motivated.

Too late, I’m afraid.

Your last few posts have been pretty good! Thanks for the work you’ve done to improve your quality.

What can be said about this that hasn’t been said?

Aire as in...

This clock has been ticking forward for most of my life.

I appreciate you.
