I very much agree with the re-use of things in 1899 bordering on laughable. I can’t go into specifics for spoilers but if you know, you know.

Thank you for this information.

I liked 1899 and there were some sequences and concepts that were very interesting conceptually and visually.

I get what you mean with the show leaning very hard on romantic love. I think it’s very much the view of the writers/directors that love and specifically romantic love transcends the extraordinary in our own lives. Their prior show “Dark” is like this too.

It’s not really a fair responsibility to put on lower level employees with zero power to enforce anything to go against corporate culture and speak up, when the only likely outcome is losing their job and nothing changing.

Yeah, I get that. I noted some of these scenarios above in other comments. Of course people want to protect their incomes at all costs

Confronting Kanye about minor things is probably a headache. People are coming for Kim, too, for not controlling him or speaking out about his behavior. “She should have known!” he was probably a bit milder a decade ago. She’s not a great person. We perpetuate misogyny when we think that she could have stopped him or

I 100% get that. Especially in the US and especially in certain states, worker protections are null. I’ve had times that I wanted to speak up in the workplace about minor conduct issues but knew it wasn’t worth making something “a thing” and someone logging it away as me being difficult.

That assumes that the HR people aren’t sleeper agents for the bosses.

I agree with you.

I can understand this response when the boss is targeting you directly.

To be clear, I understand the stakes in situations like this. The Kanye cult or Elon cult would actively put you in danger if you came out with this information. We have plenty of examples to draw from.

Is it just in human nature to freeze in the face of a threat and try to appeal to authority? I’m no hero, to be clear, but I can’t help but to think if one person actively said “no” to someone who is abusing their power then so much of this behavior wouldn’t have the chance to fester and escalate. If more than one

I thought there was a rumor that Margot Robbie is older than she purports to be...

You could...just say that you were intrigued by the possibility of the relationship and it didn’t work out.

The “unintended” here is that miscarriage happens to white women.

The line I hear most repeated by people who are on the fence is that they don’t like people using it as “birth control.”

Yeah.

This, exactly.

A lack of empathy which gives them a blind spot.
