At least people who fervently believe in astrology only really hurt themselves. There’s no one crying out about the the conjunction of the planets on the House floor whereas there’s hundreds of people in government who are led by the Bible and use it to dictate the lives of millions.

I can relate to this situation on some level because my mother didn’t take me to get the HPV vaccine when it became available for the first time because she was afraid that it would make me infertile. You know what definitely causes infertility? Cervical cancer.

Things that make this case bad:

Usually the line is, “Lord, give me the confidence of a white man” but I think this applies to Yang, too. If you truly want to be in politics, you are just as qualified and likely a stretch smarter than Yang or MTG so why not give it a try? That’s true democracy.

It’s an unfortunate symptom of our political system that anyone (mostly men) with financial means can run for office and reasonably win with no effort (Trump) to understand their constituents, or anything really.
