I'm hoping they do The Punisher for Netflix next. Base it off the current Edmondson run or that Rucka one from a few years ago. And while I'm at it, just go ahead and cast Jon Hamm as Castle.

My real hope, way down inside, is they intro Frank through this and give him his own Netflix series. Every Punisher flick so far has had great Punisher moments here and there surrounded by a ton of suck that just didn't work. Frankly (ha, see what I did there?), the best Punisher movies so far have been the Denzel

Needs more Stilt-Man.

Wow. This is the MCU's first attempt at grimdark and it looks really good. I have no idea who is involved in the production but I am getting a very David Fincher, very Michael Mann, vibe off of it and I love it.

Maybe its just me, but that had a real Punisher vibe to it.

It's not about teaching your kids to respect religion. It's about teaching them to respect other people, and have the empathy to understand why they believe what they believe, and so long as they're not harming you or others, not mocking them for it.

THIS. I'm not raising my kids to hate anyone. But yeah, I'd appreciate the same respect. Because I get reminded pretty regularly that I'm doomed for eternity.

I live in Siberia.

It's stunning how many progressive social justice oriented people completely fail at intersectionality when it comes to atheism. They will recognize that we live in a society that privileges Christianity when Islamophobia or anti Semitism is discussed but they don't grasp that it effects atheists too. The stereotype

No irony in the fact that atheist extremists are obnoxious assholes, and religious extremists are blowing people up, I suppose. But yeah, totally hate those atheist guys.

But religious people cry wolf with this too often. I think there is a huge difference between having respect for a person and having respect for their beliefs. I absolutely do not respect christian beliefs. I think their god is a horrible, vengeful, genocidal (but fictional) maniac. But because many christians view

I'm pretty sure the article said atheists are raising kids who do the opposite of this, no?

So you've had some bad conversations. Dude, everyone has. Have you been in a work situation where you are the only non-praying person? Been asked where you attend church by a boss or a person being interviewed? You are part of the majority in the US, at least. It's very WTF-y to me to hop in here, in a conversation

Yes, lets hoist up that fake canard to let atheists know you're still somehow better. Good job. The study shows most atheists aren't raising their children that way, but thanks for bringing it up...

It's not nice to be rude to anyone. But these comments just read very "what about the men!" to me. Here we are having a conversation about how atheists can raise wonderful kids despite being told by the religious majority that we are amoral (something people have literally told me) and someone pipes up "well just

I guess I mostly feel like this comment is the equivalent of a "what about the men" comment (the OP's, not yours, I just would rather interact civilly with you). It's like yes, of course people should be respectful of one another. But I think the vast majority of atheists deal with substantial issues over their lack

Never once had an atheist come pestering at my door trying to shove her beliefs down my throat.

I trust you feel the same way about parents who raise their kids to believe that non-believers and adherent of other religions are going to hell, or need to be "prayed for".

right? 'stop calling me dumb' vs 'my religion literally dictates your life'

I'm not outright rude to religious people, but after spending 20 years of my 30 year life defending myself from screeds about what a terrible person I am, or how I cannot have morals for lack of god, I'm not entirely sympathetic to this argument. Religious people are the vast majority in this country, and much of our
