So the Bucs traded up to take a K in R2 because, among other things he was one of the most accurate kickers in NCAA history (88.5%; 3rd all-time) yet the fact that neither of the kickers that were better than him in that area (Brett Baer, 90%, Louisiana-Lafayette, 2009-2012 and Alex Henery, 89.47%, Nebraska,

You’re ignoring the point, here. Even the best K in league history isn’t worth the opportunity cost of passing on a player at a more important position. The K/P position just doesn’t provide a ton of value in the grand scheme of things. It’s kind of like arguing that I should take a management job at McDonalds after

Not that uncommon for an ex-NFL OL/DL.

Tez was pretty slim compared to his playing days. I’d be surprised if he was even 300 lbs.

I’ve heard Ox rumors. I’d be happy if we could somehow work an Ox-for-Barkley swap. Barkley is rumored to cost ~30M, as is Ox, so the money would work out.

I’m fine with him being sold (assuming a suitable replacement can be lined up) but I don’t think we’d be “selling high” at this point. Being in a contract year alone tempers his value.

I’d say there are maybe 7 clubs total in France (PSG), Germany (Bayern, maybe Dortmund), Italy (Juve? Italian clubs are mostly in financial ruins), and Spain(Barca, RM, maybe Atletico) that have more financial weight than Everton at the moment. Don’t confuse reputation with financial weight. Being in the Premier

Tough choice. I’d prefer neither Arsenal or Liverpool qualify for CL football. While I should favor Liverpool getting screwed, we (Everton) want to move up the ladder and Arsenal seem the most vulnerable of the Top 6 clubs. If they lose Sanchez, Bellerin, etc. and have a hard time replacing them due to Kroenke not

Barkley is a good player even if he never develops from where he is right now. Rodwell was never any good at any point.

“This is a different animal, though. This is 6 weeks of tourist dollars from both visitors and “transient residents” that otherwise wouldn’t be there.”

Also an Everton fan and I agree. Rom has no obligation to stay here if we can’t offer what he wants on his timeline. I think EFC are on the right track with our new (and wealthy) owner, a Top 10 (according to many) manager worldwide, a new, state-of-the-art stadium on the horizon, and a ton of young talent. With the

Posted before I saw this. Good on you. RBM is a great source for accurate Everton info.

If this was their assertion then they were incorrect. Everton demanded the 90M buyout. Lukaku and his agent, Raiola wanted that fee to be in the 60-70M range (there are rumors that Raiola has been talking to Chelsea on the side and that Chelsea supplied the 60-70M number). Everton would be foolish to agree to that.

He looks like a walking, talking new Tesla for some orthopedic surgeon.

Not to mention that Niasse reportedly put forth a less-than-stellar effort at becoming match fit for Martinez. Combine that with Koeman’s style requiring his players to be in elite shape and you have good reason for Niasse’s struggles.

I think this is one of the rare cases that would result in broad agreement among the justices regardless of ideology. The logic seems pretty clear on this one.

Stop feeding the troll.

Seems a bad move. Haven't seen him mocked earlier that 20th overall yet. DraftExpress has him at #44. Maybe he'd rather spend three years in the D-League than in college?

I thought it was a one year deal for $5-8M followed by a four year option, so they pick up all four years at once.

Terrible people being terrible.
