No.
No.
I hope the season stays competitive. I feel that Hamilton and Vettel are the two best drivers in F1 so this could make for a compelling season. Fingers crossed. I don’t miss Nico. At all.
I’m an old guy. The Ford GT circa 2005 always did it for me. Drove one but didn’t buy it. I loved GT 40s as a very young boy. I think that’s why I loved the GT. Analog supercar.
I am lucky that I can mostly avoid downtown Austin during SXSW. If I did have to go there for something a nice recliner and a an AI to drive me would sure be nice.
Good take. I like the Batman analogy. I’m an old guy and in this segment I like the Golf R exactly because of how understated it is. It’s good to have choices and it’s really good that the Type R is coming to the US. I won’t be buying one but I’m glad I have that option.
Ran off the end of a runway on a Delta flight in Evansville, Indiana a long time ago. Probably about 1979. It was in a blinding snowstorm with a lot of buildup on the runway. We landed a bit long and the 727 nose wheel skidded right off the end of the runway. The main wheels stayed on by 3-4 feet. It took forever to…
I like VWs. What’s a little cheating between friends? They need a varied lineup in the US and the Atlas is a big step in that direction. I personally am going to buy myself a Golf R this year. I just bought my son a GLI. I love the feel of VW cars. I just want them to survive and continue to build enthusiast cars like…
I had a 2012 VW Sportwagen TDI (manual) that I really liked. A few vehicles later I have a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. People that rag on turbo diesels likely have never owned one. Hard to beat the wave of torque. VW’s announcement makes me sad. I like the new Alltrack and would definitely buy one if there was a diesel…
I am not getting my hopes up that the big screen makes it to the US. The 8 inch Discover Pro has been available in Canada since 2015 with the technology package. VW said it was not certified for the US. So we got the 6.5 inch screen.
The Alltrack has been out in the US for a month or so. Just the 1.8tsi and no announced plans for anything else. It does have the DSG and manual will be available in the Spring or Summer. I would love to see the 2.0 but I’m not holding my breath.
If it makes you feel better I’ve had a heck of a time finding one in a color I want. Local dealer keeps telling me they can get one. If they don’t find one soon I may wait for 2018.
Of course the big question is will the new regs next year help the competition? Drivers generally say no. More aero and wider tires make passing harder. Mercedes may lose some of their edge but it doesn’t seem likely to me. They have a hell of an organization and more money than other top teams. Other than Mercedes…
I’m glad the Ridgeline did well. Seems like a perfect truck for occasional use. I would have troubles with it from an aesthetic perspective but that obviously is very subjective. I’ve got a 2016 Ram 1500 diesel. Pulling 7500lbs it has gotten 19.8mpg on a very flat trip. Normal mileage is 24-27. Diesel is currently 3…
Hit Brodway musical in 2001 and movie remake in 2005. It's relevant.
I'd say that's dead on.
I do love the look of these cars and I'd be fine with 340hp. I know I'd enjoy the manual more than the automatic. I just built one of these and the 36 month lease price is way less than what I'm paying for my current truck (not a lease). Honestly I can't think of anything else this pretty. Dammit Doug you may be…
I own a 2016 Ram 1500 with the rotary shifter. It is easy to not get the transmission into park and think that you did. I also realize that this is not the issue in the JGC recall. Regardless this shifter is a bit problematic. I don’t know the solution other than a more traditional console mounted shifter. I had a…
This dumbass nearly killed one guy who is left with a severe brain injury. He and his family’s lives are forever changed so this guy could call attention to himself. He screwed up people’s lives for his own trivial fantasies. I live in a north Austin suburb so this whole thing hits really close to home.
I added the Sports package to my DirectTV for $10 so I could get all the motorcycle racing on BEIn Sports this year and that included all the Fox Sports stuff. Not a terrible deal.
How can a boxer engine be considered a v12?
