You can also remote in using RDP (Remote Desktop) in Windows after installing rdp to the PI (sudo apt-get install xrdp) and get a full GUI experience.

I think what isn’t being factored in here is fact that there are no known instances of kamikaze avian; birds are not going to intentionally go out of their way to strike a plane. Even if they do fly into the flight path, it’s always an accident.
