Maybe Joel Embiid was in that draft.
Makes sense, since his roster-building sensibilities is like someone who plays MyLeague with budgets off.
In a league that could put the now defunct Monsanto to shame, I believe Kyrie is the corniest basketball player alive

I literally cannot believe how much I listened to that shit. Like, “my buddy Hench” is burned into my brain. I do not deserve acceptance and love.
and that shot doesn’t happen/matter if Lebron doesn’t run down Andre Iguodala and block that (pretty much) game sealing fast break dunk.
Kyrie Irving is a less good Dame Lillard without any of Dame’s character or leadership. I am eagerly awaiting him signing with the Knicks and developing beef with KD before the pre-season even ends.
I think Irving is another in a long line of “Point Guards who are very fun to watch and often look impressive but aren’t actually very good point guards.” As a Celtics fan, I realized earlier this year that I’m happier when he’s injured. Not a great sign for the team.
So, yeah, he’ll fit right in with a Knicks legacy…
Your brother’s (wildly incorrect) take is a take so hot, it can be seen from space. Holy Jesus.
So I’d assume Tony’s favorite character was Tywin, you know, the strong silent type. Did what needed to be done for the family, regardless of what others might think, or the social taboos he might cross. He was killed violently by a member of his family, which I think might resonate with T. Kyrie’s leadership is…
(Overheard in July 2016)
That’s arguable, and by that I mean incorrect.
That dude next to him looks like a 2k computer generated player in the 2055 draft class.
I’m expecting Irving and Durant to stand at center court at MSG, announce it’s a new era in Knicks basketball, and the scoreboard crashes down on top them.
My brother recently claimed, with a straight face, that Irving was
a) the best point guard in the NBA
b) markedly better than Steph Curry, who my brother described as “a pretty good guard who is overrated because his team is so good.”
I will be e-mailing him this post every hour on the hour for the next week, and…
If you keep taking him for granted, he’s liable to walk off into the sunset and inevitably fall off the face of the Earth.
Sorry if I missed it above, but the Cavs (who traded him) and the Celtics (due to injury) both did not need him to make the Eastern Conference Finals last year. I don’t think this fact gets enough attention.
The Knicks will be flying high when they sign him and Durant, and then three days into training camp the leaks will start about how much they hate each other, and the team will win 11 games.
