It’s hilarious what Primetime thinks of himself. I mean, good for him - it’s healthy to be that confident - but it’s fucking hilarious. Charter school hilarious.

“Had he gone to one of my bogus charter schools, he would have learned civility, politeness, and how to make Gucci purse knock-offs in a basement sweatshop for my benefit.”

Just as well. Guy thrives in isolation.

sometimes I wonder if he’s the biggest waste of talent in NBA history. I can’t think of a better example. If he accepted being a role player he would be so dangerous. But I want him nowhere near my team.

Leviticus 20:13 is pretty clear on the matter. One more reason people trying to reconcile Christianity with modern thoughts on justice and humanity are just wasting their time. Christianity is bunk. Find something less problematic to believe in.

This is what Christians have wanted it to become. When they have not been comfortable with something.... it’s against the bible. God wouldn’t want this, etc, etc, etc.

Okay but wasn’t the point of the march to prove that without women, a person’s day-to-day routine would seriously be thrown off? And also prove that collectively, women are are a vast, powerful faction?

As a former high school teacher and now college professor, I second your statements. I can’t fathom why this myth persists about teachers. I almost never stop working, even on vacation.

It should be noted that the teachers at Taylor in Philadelphia had the full cooperation of their principal and worked hard to make sure that the action was successful. I teach at a school about two miles from Taylor, I’m a man so I would have been at work regardless but it was great to see that two schools in the city

EVERYBODY IS UNDERPAID. Welcome to the last 40+ years of government wage suppression!

I’ve taught school in all kinds of capacities since 2008: Middle school, high school, adjuncting at private colleges, and teaching full-time(ish) at public schools in the south. The lack of respect for teachers by parents, students, admins, and our culture at large is infuriating and baffling. I have no clue why

“Not living up to their obligations” the conservatives said... about a group of people that work from 6:00a.m. thru 10:00 p.m. some nights, spending thousands of dollars of their own money on supplies and snacks for their kids.

Both teachers and child care providers are two of the most underpaid professions in this country. I get really pissed when people think that teachers are just stand ins for child care providers because even child care providers deserve to be paid 2-3x what they actually make.

I’m a recovering teacher and it’s such a completely draining job. I’m not going to dump on teachers and I would welcome anyone who does to spend a year working as a teacher*

I think a lot of people need to educate themselves a bit on the history of general strikes. It’s not about nor has it ever been about the privileged. It’s been about the working class sacrificing the loss of a day’s pay and benefits because it was worth it to try and fight to receive fair wages and working

Some schools react the way your school would have; other schools side with the bullies. I get the impression that this school, at least its administration and certainly that teacher, is an example of the latter.

This is typical though isn’t it? A school doesn’t do a damn thing about someone being bullied and then when the person being abused decides to stand up for themselves the administration complains that the student should have come to them. Really? Because when Micah tells the teacher that the bastard was using racial

Isn’t this more of a question of “who would clear him”? Maybe it’s a commentary on the expendability of hockey players that team staff clear them after things like this, instead of why basketball players don’t play injured

LeBron James probably would have just slapped a first responder’s kid in the face.

Soon to appear in memes calling LeBron soft for sitting out regular season games
