The issue goes back more than thirty years. Organized labor has been slowly abandoned by democratic leadership as wall street has become more of a player in the modern democratic party. Reagan dispatching of the air traffic controllers in the 80s was met with very little real pushback by the Democrats. Now, those of

That was awesome. I’m really interested in your solutions to these issues. Let me guess, they involve complaining on message boards.

I think millions of Trump voters may have had something to do with it too....

This is a million percent true.

I try explaining this to my conservative Catholic parents like semi-regularly. It is always a waste of time.

Did they just kind of condense all five Jurassic Parks into two seasons?

There was an article on Splinter last week about previous American presidents meeting with horrible dictators. The conversation devolved into: “When republican residents do it, it’s very bad(which is objectively true). However, when democratic presidents do it it’s good but you people who are critical of it don’t

Its “wooder”

So.......a thousand people will be singing songs to and about a piece of cloth? That sounds fun.

As someone stuck in Wildwood for the weekend, I have some insight here. The city is full of northeast Philly whites who think that “all lives matter”. Driving around you will see an abundance of mouth-breathing, jorts, Flyers or Eagles paraphernalia and shitty beer. There are “We Support Police” signs everywhere. The

I think, the bigger issue now should be that we are possibly on the brink of a real war with Russia.

I would guess, considering how hard of a time the Sixers have had against the Pacers, that very few Sixers fans are taking them lightly.

Ok my bad, ready: Arne Duncan,Eli Broad, Joe Lieberman, Joe Manchin, Tim Kaine. I’m not sure that Rahm is not a person of color. My initial comment mentioned Gates and Bezos.

Remember what Zuckerberg did with the “million dollars” he gave to the Newark school system? He took it back when they didn’t do what the big baby with no educational experience or ideas beyond “replace everything with technology” wanted them to.

Many many liberals support privatization. Obama was a big time privatizer. Rahm Emmanuel in Chicago has tried many times and failed to privatize schools. The Clintons believe in privatization. Corey Booker, Kamala Harris and all of their neo-liberal compatriots who run the democratic party are too cozy with the rich

He’s going to solve the energy crisis in Puerto Rico as well. He’ qualified because he has a lot of money. Once the privatization starts there is no rolling it back. Musk and his peers have the power to further this oligarchy, and that is what makes him so dangerous, in my opinion.

He claimed that he had a plan for Philadelphia, but it turns out he didn’t. He just figured if he said he did, it would come true. I think the danger in someone like Musk is the same as someone like Peter Thiel. He doesn’t hear “no” often and doesn’t think he should have to. He seems to lean a little more center-left,

I work in those schools. There is enough research that exists to prove a link between behavior and home environment that there needs to be a focus on mental health services in order to fix any of these school problems.

Yeah, I think we may agree, but you aren’t parsing my words right? I was saying that when given the choice between a positive or negative story, media will focus on a negative story and not out of concern for the people affected.
