Right. That’s largely my main issue. At least, the issue itself used to be. Me? I think I’ve just been burned one too many times by trying to use it on games that would push my memory to the point of page dumping - likely a result of memory leaking.

The worst thing I ever did was when my kids were 3 and 4. If they didn’t want to do something I wanted them to do, like go to bed, I’d say, well, why don’t we just flip a coin. Heads I win, tails you lose. That worked well for a few months, but when they finally caught on, they were really pissed.

I’m with you.  This is an “I Want to Believe” situation.  It’s ok to feel cynical if your heart has been broken before.

It definietely helps to be old enough to remember what other movies at that time looked like to appreciate a New Hope. The special effects were very good for the time, and the slower pacing was just how movies were made.
