Oh man, Fallout 4... You forgot “write the great novel of mankind” in there.

It’s definitely a little of both for me. I’m hitting 40, which means in my lifetime I went from an Atari (which I was too young to really remember the games) to an NES, SNES, then PS1-4. The changes between generations are getting more incremental for sure - Moore’s Law ended after the PS2, if you ask me. Up until the…
Don’t worry, they’ll never get the boob physics right.
If you haven’t played it, it has so many options it’s dizzying. Want to create a tracking shot? Built in. Want dramatic cherry blossoms wafting in? ok. Oh that’s not enough, turn it up. Done. Want color filters (and really good ones, a lot of games have them but mostly make the game look like garbage)? Got that. How…
I’ve got a high end (although not the highest end) M.2 SSD on my gaming PC and more RAM than any console has ever had, and I still have loading screens all the time. They are shorter, but definitely not gone.
I also really loved how you got dropped out of the loading screen and into the setting - it was a beautiful way to take something that most people hate (pop in) and do something fun with it.
“Ghost of Tsushima introduces lethal difficulty...”
“Finally! The game has been fixed!”
“Also introduces a low intensity combat setting”
“The game has been RUINED! No one can play it now!”
I tried playing the game via remote play because the tv was being occupied by a toddler, lol... I couldn’t do standoffs or properly parry. I had no idea that there was any noticeable lag when streaming over my own network, but apparently it was enough to make it a lot harder.
The horse is excellent for the most part. I’ve had few issues with running into trees and such. The game also has an excellent fast travel system with loading times so fast I usually can’t read the tips on screen.
It gets harder once you reach the northern island. The enemies will have better armor and equipment and will use things like bombs and rockets on you.
I love ublock personally, particularly for it’s ability to make custom blockers easily for stuff that annoys me. Embedded videos? Gone. Those stupid things where they repeat a quote from the article in big letters? Gone. My favorite, I used it to get rid of that thing where it autoloads the next article after the one…
We don’t really talk about this...
...McEnany attempted to change the subject to Barack Obama...
An external HDD is probably the important bit, but otherwise I agree... I find that mine loads so fast that I can’t even begin to read a tip most of the time before I’m back in the action. I’ve got to say, it has me quite spoiled.
It’s probably there in the shower scenes.
I was shocked that they used the camera trick on him peeing and not on one of the shower scenes. It makes a lot more sense to me that if he has rendered junk, it would be on the nude model. It’s not like they were going to go out of their way to swap the normal model with one that has little Reedus poking out just so…
My only (very small!) criticism of the game is that it goes way overboard with the cut scenes, but it only happens a couple of times in the game, so it was just mildly irritating at best - although it definitely felt like two hours before you got to do any kind of actual playing at the start. I really loved that the…
I mean, they have in that it’s core, at least to me, seemed to be exploration... and the major updates have mostly encouraged people to settle down and go nowhere.
This is so true. I replayed it recently to go back and check out some of the story DLC and man... A lot of the story felt a lot less far-fetched this time around. The first time I played it, I was like yeah this could happen but what are the odds... this time, not so much.
I, for one, am absolutely loving being able to collect something in the game without having to constantly have stuff break on me and have to run back to a crafting table.
