So I played a bit and it’s upscaled but some of the textures don’t look great and pre-rendered cutscenes look pretty bad. I’m playing with the Joycons and it’s the same as playing with the Wiimote and nunchuck. There’s an option to turn motion controls off so I assume it also has the optional gamepad controls from No

My eyebrow raised into the stratosphere when they announced that Minecraft Steve would be a DLC character at the same time they announced that Travis Touchdown was just a Mii costume.

The trailer didn’t really have any details. I would also love to know if they keep the motion controls.

Just a brief mention of No More Heroes 3 in this post and none of the fact that No More Heroes 1 and 2 were dropped onto the eShop out of nowhere. Seriously, I just happened to check the eShop right when the Direct was stealth released and they were both just sitting there staring at me like they’ve always been there.

My partner booked a week off for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and I was like “Why didn’t you do it for Cyberpunk, aren’t you more excited for that?” Jokes on me, I guess.

I still get creeped out by the bottom of the well in Ocarina of Time, though they toned it down for the 3DS version.

My animals are constantly telling me that my alts haven’t spoken to them in months and I wish they’d stop because it’s the least interesting thing they could possibly say to me.

That’s missing the point of login bonuses (or punishment for not logging in, in this case). How much it costs to do it doesn’t matter. They want you to log in because the more you play, the more likely you are to spend money.

The insidiousness of free to play and live service games. Even something like this just reeks of predatory behaviour. Anything that isn’t actually that meaningful but still makes you feel like you need to keep playing even if you don’t want to. Maybe it’s just an innocent little design decision to make the game feel

Now playing

You would have heard this one after you lose access to the Light in the main campaign.

Such is the fate of games based on forgotten anime and manga.

I don’t think they’ve mentioned PS5 games on PS+ before now, though it sounds like this is a one-off thing and not part of a monthly set of PS5 games.

Really? I can’t hear anything self-aggrandizing about creating content. “Content” can literally be anything. “I’m a content creator” sounds to me like “I churn out disposable crap to fill with ads and slap on websites for $5 a post.”

The remake also uses hideous pre-rendered sprites for some reason that can never be explained.

Nothing compares to the anticlimax of the Elite Four being replaced by gym battle rehashes in Sword and Shield.

It’s like someone made a list of Pokemon games and put it into a randomizer.

I love that this article exists and I love a lot about it but one of my favourite parts is that you apparently could have just asked your cousin Jeff to introduce you to her.

Many years ago, they did this weird, one-off thing where you could trade in your Uplay points for full, “Gold” editions of recent releases. The games were only up for like a minute at a time before they were all claimed, but I managed to get the then-new Assassin’s Creed IV twice. (Once I accidentally got the Xbone

I was responsible for this once in high school. My friend lent me his PS1 with a bunch of games, including Final Fantasy Tactics. His save had a full team maxed out in every job class and every piece of gear or something. Some insane criteria for 100% completion. It involved a lot of grinding. I accidentally deleted

You’re just shitposting about a game you haven’t played. Sit down.
