“You fight a lot of robots” isn’t really the greatest criticism. “You fight a lot of robots with a mediocre combat system” is the actual problem.

The main thing I remember about this game is that I made a middle aged man for my character and then they plopped him down in his backstory with his family and he was older than his own dad.

It’s not some unknowable secret. Just have it follow the host. Or whoever presses the button to have the moogle pick the chalice up.

They could keep the bucket and also make it less of a burden if they just let you use the moogle in multiplayer. 

Saying they should have completely changed character growth and combat (the core of the game) is kind of nuts. Like, just make a new game if you’re going to throw away half of the old one.

I haven’t tried the multiplayer. Do non-host players at least get to keep their loot?

I’m extremely ready for all of these overused actors to take 5 or 10 years off because I’m at the point where they instantly make things worse through no fault of their own.

Seeing these random people’s faces wouldn’t be that jarring if the rest of the game’s aesthetic wasn’t “dollar store Age of Ultron pencil case”

Anyone who waited 7 years to buy a PS4 or Xbox One can stand to wait a few more months.

This is shaping up to be the lamest start of a console generation in history. PlayStation’s big first party exclusive is a Spider-Man DLC (which I would buy day 1 if it was on PS4, or if the PS5 was more appealing otherwise yet, because Spider-Man rules) and Xbox’s is nowhere to be found. It’s just depressing.…

The difference between regular island hopping and dreaming is that nothing that happens in dreams is permanent, so players should feel free to wreak havoc to their hearts’ content.
