I mean…Lucy is very much on the surface a film of the same kind as Ghost in the Shell- Scarlett Johannsen starring sci-fi action movies with grand ideas.

ARE THEY SELLING STACKABLE BEARS?I?!?!
This makes me vaguely sad. I'm a huge fan of Whedon's work as a whole, but a mainstream superhero comics movie is pretty much the least interesting project Whedon could be doing.
It's good to finally see a show with relateable problems!
I'd say the only question with Powerless is when they bother to burn off the rest of Season one, given its recent last minute preemptions for reruns.
You know, there's an alternate reality somewhere where Home Alone is made ten years earlier, features Ed Asner and Malcolm McDowell as the goons, and is actually kind of good. Obviously Home Alone 5 has nothing to do with that movie…but those are some damn fine candidates to menace a moppet.
There's also a point in the show where Norbert Leo Butz in the Steve Martin role proclaims "I want to be like Trump."
I wouldn't be surprised if this new version also lacks the twist. With the genders reversed, the twist plays very douchey, what with it being "ha ha, the man was the smart one all along!"
I prefer SportsNightwing
Oh god oh god oh god…there is a very small but non-zero chance that Aaron Sorkin's Starfox trial could be a thing that exists.
Yes, in that it will involve She-Hulk listening raptly to a monologue about how a Sorkin-stand-in is totally not a sexist.
Excuse me, that wasn't just a monologue, that was a published editorial in a major newspaper.

YOU TAKE THAT BACK! TAD COOPER IS AWESOME AND AMAZING AND I WILL BROOK NO INSINUATION THAT FAILING TO LIVE UP TO HIS STANDARDS IS A FLAW!
Lego Batman had this whole thing covered.
That's honestly why I'm interested in Jessica Jones season 2. More of the same isn't an option- the things that made the show work (other than a great lead performance) are over.
Aw, that's disappointing.
Weirdly, this is probably the prod I needed to actually play the Tomb Raider reboot that's been sitting in my Steam Account for months.
I like the article's implication that no one is entirely certain where the island is in relation to Japan. I mean, clearly they know where the island is, they get there, but Japan? Eh, somewhere to the east maybe?
I gotta say, if you have zero interest in either Norman Lear or the Simpsons, the AVClub comments is a pretty bizarre place to be.
