Volvo 850 T5 R Wagon in Pleasant Muted Yellow

Early 2000's Nissan Frontier & Xterra

When I think “yellow car” this is the one most suited to bear that phrase as a title rather than simply a description:

I believe the VW New Beetle wore yellow quite well. It was a great fit for the character of the car.

Ruf Yellowbird

Always was partial to the third-generation Maxima.

I rarely thought an SUV could be “beautiful” until I saw the Lincoln Aviator. It’s a surprisingly graceful design from an unexpected source.

The gently falling roofline and relatively low ground clearance for an SUV adds a lot of visual length, and it features just the right amount of brightwork to make it look

I might be slightly biased here, because my uncle owned Toronados for 20 years, but I think the first Gen Toronado is gorgeous. This is peak GM engineering and styling.

Never forget what they took from us.

Another Honda product: the 3rd gen (UA6-UA7) Acura TL (2004-2008) has aged fairly gracefully into the 2020s, imo.

This was Mazda during their peak “Zoom-Zoom” era. The first Mazda6 was such a solid, handsome design with a perfect mix of curves and edges.

My most deeply-held belief is that the CD-generation Accord, and the JDM-spec coupe, more specifically, is one of the most beautiful cars to have come out of the 90's.

I’ve always said that if the El Camino, Brat, or Baja came back I would buy one.

The V60, Polestar 2, and Mazda3 were already nominated and are indeed very, very cool. While probably not as cool, I am going to roll with the Hyundai Santa Cruz. It offers just as much “truck” as most people need 90% of the time, in a more livable package, and without the lifestyle tax of absurdly priced mid and

Mazda3 hatch. Styling has no shoulder line with concave doors, sunk-in headlights, long hood with slightly extended dash-to-front-axel ratio. Then there’s the interior, it’s more premium and quiet than it ought to be.

The sedan looks great, but I think the hatch is more exciting and unique, despite the compromises of viewing angles and interior space for that cool roofline!

The Suzuki Jimny. It’s as small, nimble and fuel-savvy as a city car, but a monster off-road. Plus, the current styling without 9382423 unnecessary creases, profile lines and light elements is refreshing to say the least.

May I say that Hyundai's Ioniq series are kick-ass? Hyundai took problematic concepts design-wise (no grille, different weight and chassis distribution) and came up with something futuristic and cool looking.

The Mazda 3 is such a handsome, well-appointed, well-built, and reasonably priced car. Its hardware is a little archaic, but reliable as a result, and I can appreciate its sense of “simplicity” in an increasingly complicated automotive landscape. It’s a practical, sensible car with a heavy dose of style, and that’s a

For me, it’s gotta be the Mazda3. Not only does it look really great on the outside, the interior looks like it punches above it’s price with nice materials, tech, and buttons (glorious buttons!). Plus, you can get one pretty well equipped for under $25k, and, from what I understand, the drive is a good blend of
