This face, right here... My over the moon face.
Bourdain in Britanny, France, my home. Showing it almost as it is, eating galettes and kig ha farz and mountains of shellfish while pronouncing the names of cities I’ve know my whole life and few people outside Brittany know. Somehow, he never seemed out of place.
There’s a great interview of her on the Build channel on youtube, where she talks, amongst other things, about The Leftovers.

Look, it’s Bernard from Four Weddings ans a Funeral !
What are you doing? Are you doing ”Doubt”? Ooooh, let’s not do “Doubt”
And every situation you encounter at said job is going to be a metaphor for your personal life. Isn’t life convenient?
This picture. So Marilyn Monroe in Something’s Got to Give.
Damn, Manny Montana is beautiful. How did I not realize that before? Him and the three leads (who, I realize now, were parts of three of my favorite shows) are enough to make me keep watching. And I think it’s quite fun.
Before Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy, Drew had also a fairly important part in Everwood. Just sayin’. I like Everwood and it is never mentioned anywhere.

Ditto.
The Good Wife’s comments section on the AV Club was one of the best places to be on Mondays (Mad Men’s was also one of my favorites). Interesting, passionate comments all-around. I miss it.
... because I do. To each their own.

My tendency is to first consider a movie from a moviemaking and a screenwriting standpoint. Especially when said movie is competing at the Oscars. So, really, I was talking first about the form of Three…
I can’t tell if you’re talking about Three Billboards or Get Out... The Shape of Water wasn’t a very bold choice, but I’ll take this over a Three Billboards’ win any day. It is a pretentious mess.
I would have liked to see more love for Call Me by Your Name but mostly, I’m very happy for Del Toro. And I’m especially so so happy Three Billboards didn’t get best picture.
