From his review, it is generic. Great movies deserve an A.
I have a hard time believing this was better than Batman Begins and I doubt I will like it more than Logan, which I found to be better overall than The Dark Knight. I probably will not enjoy it as much as I did Deadpool. We'll see.
I really did love Logan. Goddamn that was amazing.
And it's worse for wear. Should have been a miniseries instead of trying to expand.
It never needed to be a series in the first place.
While pondering this episode and Nick's POV, I can't help but remember that the cast's assertions (later recanted) that this is not a feminist show. Maybe they were right.
But do we really need to see that over and over again? The point was made via Serena Joy's episode. In the novel, Offred, the victim, becomes complacent, apathetic, and even voluntaries to be a handmaiden because the choices she has are worse and worse. She is not the fighter that June is in the show. In fact, she…
I hate to sound like a feminist asshole, but I am just annoyed at how many episodes they are now devoting to the male's perspective. In the novel, the Jezebel scene was amazing and I was excited to see that adapted to screen, only to have them focus on Nick's lame backstory.
Yes!
This show is not what I thought it would be after watching the first three episodes, which were riveting. It has increasingly gotten mediocre and yes, I am going to be an asshole and say that the novel was absolutely better. The changes they have made weaken Atwood's themes and thin any substance that there was. This…
The Handmaid's Tale and The Hunger Games books are nothing alike. It is the T.V. adaption that has re shaped the Offred character to be an adult Katniss and added bullshit so that it could expand the series in order to milk the audience for money.
Yes, the fan base strongly hates Nora.
We'll see in a week.
I did find it weird how they have been mentioning her IUD a lot. I hope there's not a reveal that she's pregnant with Kevin's baby in the next episode.
I think the "Old Nora" could be from an alternate universe, though. This show has a lot that's supernatural in it.
Yes, I did. I think, in my heart, I'd like for them to get back together, learn to talk to each other, and for it to end with them living on their life actually being okay and not pretending to be, but that just doesn't seem likely. It seems more likely that Nora will have herself incinerated. It's clear from this…
Wonder Woman will be even better than The Dark Knight and Logan. You just wait and see.
Nora commits suicide in the last episode and Kevin goes on to live peacefully, I think.
I will not be seeing this, so yes, I will spend this long weekend catching up on T.V. shows, reading, and watching some movies.
