It’s four words, but I’d vote for "the light was on" over this. Not that this isn't great, too.

Pitched since he was 19, though. 2600+ career innings.
There was a summer Wednesday a few years back, when I was in grad school. Was done teaching for the day, had nothing pressing in my research to do. The Mariners had a day game, and I sat for about 20 minutes looking at ticket prices deciding whether to just blow off the rest of the day and go to the game or to stay…
You’re of course correct - I blame the Frinkiac, and will UTTERLY REFUSE to blame my lack of proofing the default text.
Just as an aside, that really undersells the role pharmacists play in making sure medication is appropriately prescribed and dispensed. They’re not robots or cashiers, they’re doctors with a specific field of expertise.
“Why wouldn’t you do this?”

Seems like a lot of other respondents did a good job of making the case I would’ve made if I’d returned here earlier, but I’ll also note that going by stars I’m out-voted :(
Under no circumstances is Oklahoma part of the Midwest.
I never knew that about granite!
I was really hoping to find this on the list, or failing that then in the comments -- well done
Or cherries! It takes FRIGHTENINGLY few ground/chewed-up cherry pits to kill someone.

Sorry, I don’t mean to…
This was a key lesson with pork for me, too
Thanks for the reply!
Serious question — are undercooked burgers no longer dangerous? I usually order steak medium-rare, but never order burgers less than well-done, for fear of E.coli. And that fear is independent of the quality of the restaurant, of course; if there’re bacteria in the interior of the burger it didn’t happen there, it…
I don’t disagree, I mean more that the general tenor of the site, particularly at the time HitFix got absorbed in, wasn’t a great match for him (though it’s changed a bit since then). The commentariat was significantly worse, too, and a big part of Alan’s prior style had been his interaction with his commenters.
