Haven't really read the review or comments yet, so maybe this has already been said, but I just watched this, and it's become fairly obvious (I think) that it's Ellie's husband.  (1) She says "How could you not see what's going on in your own home? (2) He's got a similar build/look as Nigel.

@Scrawler2:disqus That's probably a good thing - as I understand it, BBC America sometimes has to cut a scene or two for broadcast, but they remain in the on demand version.  I've started watching exclusively that way.
