Wouldn't you need to adjust the glasses per person? Depending on the distance between your eyes, you would need to have a different setting on the glasses, right?

I would assume there would be a number scale on the adjustment, so that you could remember your setting, and there'd probably be a opening screen to adjust

That is pretty fascinating. It basically took the concept of stereoscope flipcard movies and had them projected on a big screen. You just had to have each seat have a perfectly positioned viewer, that blocked each eyes vision of the second image.

That might actually make for a more pleasant viewing experience than

For sure! Orion Pax has a way better version of the Ghostbuster HQs:

I'm down for a whole lego set

Lol, make enough whistles and it'll pay for itself.

He was wrong in forecasting that the best computer programmers would be the ones making the most money. With a few exceptions (Carmack), the ones with the really large accounts are the ones who were the most lucky (Gates, Zuck, the Tumblr guy), or the ones whose "pet rock" social media ideas inexplicably took off

Exactly. Parents, politicians and educators were all extremely concerned about American kids falling behind in science and tech after Sputnik in 1957. Athelstan Spilhaus talked about it a lot, which is why he started his Sunday comic "Our New Age" in 1958:

I was sort of taking that all in to consideration when I made my comment. :p

Back when "letter quality" either meant a daisy wheel printer where you could not alter the font or size easily (other than stopping the printer and changing the type wheel) or using a Dot Matrix in "image mode" to basically paint the page, there were some spectacular failures of the Dot matrix output. I suspect that

I remember seeing this demo at NASA when I was a kid (circa 1984, certainly pre-Challenger disaster), but with a torch and glove instead of an oven.

Am I the only one with their stomach turned that the FBI would actively distribute child porn even if it was for this purpose? One thing if you sold drugs to catch a drug dealer, but to keep and distribute child porn is creepy and disturbing.

For anyone to consider flying with water-rocket boots to be boring or "totally mundane" and in need of a GoPro to be livened up, they must be leading an exceptionally adrenaline filled life.

That's a John Deere X500 tractor. I have one myself. It's a beast for uneven/bumpy lawns.

Not sure if paid content or actual post.

The big reason that this will never, ever happen?

When I used to go to compute trade shows the chinese there taking pictures of or our equipment if we displayed a circuit board we would always just glue other other parts to it to screw with them So I heard this is a new chinese drone

they have the different names, just prefaced with the same branding. You wouldn't think "Windows Phone" runs full windows programs...so why would you think "Windows RT" runs windows programs?

Except that that Windows tablet does run real Windows programs. It's an ASUS VivoTab Smart using an Atom processor and running full Windows 8. I have one at work for testing. It has run every Windows program I've tried to run on it so far.

LOL, I love the "As a digital artist" part.
