Where I come from (Guam), because of typhoons the building codes mandate that all homes be designed to resist gusts of 155 mph... the offshoot is it also lends itself to withstanding earthquakes as well. e.g. In 1993 we had an 8.1 earthquake, then everyone went to work the next day pretty much.. lol

Agreed in that case. But of course that is the risk anyone takes when buying individual stocks vs. an index.

Yeah 1 bad day can “wipe out” all your gains but then what would you do then.. sell? lol Better to worry about what your net is 10+ years down the road than 1 day.

Aww I was just about to sign up to find some skanks :(

Yeah.. not just in daily routines, but also the situations you’re in once you settle down. I’d say that a day in my life 5 years ago was more or less similar to a day in my life today, and they could be exchanged pretty easily. No way that was the case in younger years.

Who the heck is Amy Schumer anyway

Exactly.. Honestly these days I could be having a conversation between myself and 2 other people blathering off about the world being flat and I’d just sit there bemused, nodding politely. Unless they’re family or very close friends, I have absolutely zero interest to correct them. lol

46 here and I guess the one thing that strikes me is in my 20’s how “savvy” I knew I was, and today I realize how naive and clueless I was in reality. lol.. but hey, it’s a learning thing. :)

I have to tell my kid to stop pulling down his pants, to show and waggle his dick in public. It’s innapropriate!

As you age through the decades you eventually come to realize there are people way smarter than you.. and there’s no real way to tell. :p

By chance have you seen the 4k rom of Pacman done recently? Amazing stuff.. granted it’s done recently using current tools, but still.

You missed the obligatory “Five Nights at Freddys 2: Electric Boogaloo” :)

Grew up in Guam, lived in Hawaii, the Bay Area, Seattle, and now the south (Charlotte). Nothing to it but to do it. :) Although it admittedly gets harder the older you get, and when you start having kids.

lol I guess my attention span is about 3 minutes because I got that far and had to shut it down to move on.

lol problem is they’re often touted as safe investments vs. what it is ..“buying insurance”. If you go down this route you better check what happens to all that money you put in an annuity when you die.. many times it’s just kept. If you do have the option to name a beneficiary, go over the payout options in detail.

So I don’t get it.. are these LIVE events and if you don’t check it while it’s happening you miss it?

Nice.. I’m actually looking to build an HTPC for vids and emulators.. and while it won’t be an NES case (a small form-factor regular PC case is all I’d need) seeing it makes me want to move on it even more :)

Fair enough.. although I’m not exactly sure an custom character option in a game is exactly a “right”. :p But yes that option works, especially in a game with a complex embedded story in its framework that devs want players to identify with.

No not really.. to me “story” is an incidental, and optional when it comes to gaming. You could have disconnected battle maps in a Fire Emblem game (ala Military Madness on the TG16) and it would be the same game to me as the one with a backstory.

Exactly why this social crap should be left out of GAMES. Heck this game could have walking sunglass-wearing turnips and carrots for all it matters and then we can have some arguments about the treatment of same-vegetable marriage. :p
