I really, really like him. He’s not threatened by her at all, on the contrary: he’s happy to celebrate her and encourage her and he’s not intimidated by her being the star of the relationship. I think she got herself a good one.

Yes. I had a roommate from NZ 20 years ago and was shocked when she revealed that she trapped and broke the necks of cats as part of her graduate school work. This has been a serious problem for a long time and it seems like more drastic measures are necessary.

And as someone who grew up with a cat who loves to kill animals and leave home for days on end hunting, it’s not as easy as sticking your cat indoors all the time.

I don’t understand outdoor-cat people. I think it’s anthropomorphizing cats to say “oh but but they feel so SAD when they can’t go out!” or “but they’re going to be missing out!”

Outdoor-cat people are very... passionate about this belief.

I wonder if they thought it was easier to ban all cats than to try a “All cats stay indoors and should be fixed except for maybe a small amount of breeding stock”
