Yeah I ended up loving the show as well. I just can’t see how it’s shallow.

As a child of a single mom, HARD NO. My mom made (guilted) me into celebrating her on Father’s Day. Taught me that I didn’t have a father. That he wasn’t important. I’m not here for that shit anymore. Fathers are important.

Carlos Leon and Guy Ritchie have, by all accounts, been very involved fathers - often with better relationships with their respective kids than she’s had. So I suppose Madonna’s claiming this unisex parental mantle for the youngest two, to give her the benefit of the doubt that she isnt trying to upstage the fathers…

these posts used to be very popular amongst black women. i’d say from 2009 - 2014 Facebook would be ALL “thanks to my mom for being my dad” etc. glad they’ve been replaced with “mother’s day is for me, let the fathers have their day”

Well, Iniesta and Silva are a combined 442 years old, so I wouldn’t call that bone-headed. Taking Costa off was arguably not great, considering he was single-handedly destroying Portugal’s defense.

As a Japanese native, this looks very Japanese to me (other than the spoken language, of course)

English voice acting aside, the demo looked very, very Japanese. The combat looked like something right out of a Samurai film, and that showdown in the leaves and sunset especially looked quintessentially Japanese.
