Strangers Isn't a remake. It's based on the director's experience when they were a kid.

Wolf Creek?

God, I really don't like what they're doing with Bonnie. They've made possibly one of the most awful things part of her backstory and yet Annalise treats her like shit, while she's still the one who killed Rebecca and justified it as "not being a victim."

Huh. I still like Wes, I guess because he's being set up as the suspicious one to the rest of the group simply because Annalise depends on him.

I loved his reading of "Scotch… Soda POP"

Hmm. Guess I could save it for a warm up before the final season…

All I need to know is whether Lili Simmons gets to be more than a damsel in distress.

well I respect your opinion but life isn't that simple.

Same! Though I anticipate a confrontation.

Sounds like a Childish Gambino and Don't Trust The B—— In Apartment 23 reference

Dunno, I was in theater for four years and improv for longer. At best I'd say we're our own culture, and at worst I'd say that culture can foster some pretty entitled douchefaces.

I feel like the discussion of "Hakuna Ma-ta-ta" and how the literal translation is much more complicated than the Disney version is both one of the best sophisticated jokes the show has done and also a great analogy for Jimmy's obliviousness.

His thing with asking Linds to take the money was a bit awkward but also kind of fitting.

Before then I'd mainly seen it in Cards Against Humanity as "Rando Cardresian"

That's a really interesting take that makes me wish he'd interracted with someone from his past. That kind of rationale and backstory is what would distinguish him from Chigurh

He doesn't strike me as coming from privilege what with how his stance on "showing them you're still an ape"

Man, this was a good episode. I feel like it did what GIRLS did with Hannah's OCD but better.

See, for me the fish thing felt like it was a culmination of the Mattress King thing, making the death seem almost biblical, whereas the only character who's had direct contact with the alien theme has been killed.

His final scene suggested he came from an abusive household to me, and his actions aren't so much chaotic as relishing in how he can control others. Think about it, he handled the whole ransom thing and he didn't even want the money, he just wanted to see if he could do it.

I don't think me criticizing was "coming down" on it. I kept watching didn't I?
