Muse is not a small band, but what I was saying is that if even they don’t get much televised attention small bands are probably having a really hard time. Muse fortunately can keep going just by the fans they have now, the will fill stadiums on their own.

It happens, they were young enought to not get him in one his zeitgeist but on the other hand if you start digging you end finding some influence even if either indirectly, because they either have heard a cover by Bowie without noticing or anything that he influenced.
