(Funnily enough, Europa Universalis was a board game first.)

This sort of connects to a discussion I had with a friend the other day we were looking over the rules for a game called “Here I stand” that is about the reformation. It tries to cover all the complex rl issues and apply both the social issues and the warfare issues in one game. It looks like the game will take 9ish…
I think Charmin Sandiego is a better name than The Mad Pooper.
Kudos to the reporter for getting the word “smear” in there. Just top-notch reporting.
The Twilight Struggle (Must resist the urge to type “Imperium”) App is good, but I don’t think it makes the game objectively better.
Surprisingly enough, no one has made a version of this for Tabletop Simulator yet. If anyone does make an official app version though, the dev works with board game publishers to sell official versions of their games for that platform.
I promise you that it is not an overestimation. If anything, it’s an underestimation. As I said above, you have to account for office rent, cleaning, equipment, taxes, other staff who aren’t working directly on the game, console certification costs, software costs, and so many other expenses that come up over…
Thank you for saying that. I’ve been thinking lately that maybe we need to implement a reverse Logan’s Run policy to take care of the problem where everyone UNDER 30 would go to Carousel. Then we as a society just start over and spawn another generation after we figure out what went wrong with the Millennials. Just…
This. SJW’s do this all the time, and get all hurt when it goes the other way. You’ll see them down-vote games because the protagonist was a white male, w/o any commentary about the actual game itself. Meanwhile un-entertaining trash wins video game and Hugo awards for no other than reason than having a brave,…
Probably an extension of the Millenial outrage culture, where people think they need to wage war on anybody who offends them.
Yup.
There are a number of products that I have refused to purchase, either because their ads are obnoxious (the latest Levi ad, with its focus on shaking butts that are supposed to be dancing to a driving beat, has put me off their jeans—and I’ve been buying Levis for over thirty years), they are forced down my throat…
My favorite are the people that have 2,335 hours in a game who downvote it because it got boring
I’m all for you guys expanding into different media but I really wish some of these discussions were in article form sometimes because that’s just how I consume! Literally every podcast you and Gita have done recently has perked my interest but I’m just not a podcast or even radio type person. I know it’s too much…
So if EA wants to number the days gamers own games, then my days of owning EA games are numbered as well. I have no interest in paying 60 bucks for an access only game. Or any amount of money for that matter. I’m tired of countless subscriptions, games that require an always online connection ( Fuck off Gran Turismo…
Either free us or feel our rage.
Half-Life’s levels are complex mazes,
You reference the southern poverty law center in this post? Are you kidding me?
Jesus, you’re absolutely right. I’m so sorry.
Good job being the “no fun” party, guys.
