Y’know what, I’ll just say it. You want to be furry, fine. Whatever. I don’t give a shit. But you know what my problem with furries are? THEY WON’T. STOP. SHOWING IT.

Earthworm Jim positions itself largely as a work of satire seeking to upend various side scrolling tropes of the time. It follows the titular character on a quest to save Princess What’s-Her-Name. This calls the tired damsel trope by explicitly positioning the princess as an afterthought.

The headline says the mean spirited satire doesn’t hold up but the article is about how the gameplay and level design don’t hold up.

I’m not sure I follow the thought process here. Earthworm Jim is a failed experiment because the levels are difficult to navigate and the princess is flattened by a cow? I mean, by treating her as pointless, killing her with a cow, and calling her Whats-Her-Name, it seems Earthworm Jim is satirizing how other games do

Yeah, but the cartoon was enjoyable and that theme song was amazing.

Whatever Earthworm Jim does right or wrong, it’s still one of the most memorable games from the Genesis era. I was never able to beat it, but that didn’t stop me from trying! I did however manage to beat Toejam & Earl 2, another unconventional platformer from that era.

I feel like Bioware could do a decent job at a sequel. But of course there is no way for that to happen.

Again I feel like a lot of this interpretation is simply looking for a message you wish to be found.

This article is great troll bait. I can’t wait till people reply taking any part of it serious explaining why this person has no clue what they are talking about in relation to Game of Thrones.

Wow, this was an great bit of writing and the most impressive thing...didn’t mention Confederacy, once.

fuck you

Soo...yea...not true. I hate the idea of slavery on multiple levels, but this is a straight up lie. When Europeans landed in Africa, they pretty much took advantage of a system that was already in place. Yes, we cranked it to 11 with little regard for anything but profit and efficiency as we are wont to do, but we

I live in Wisconsin, near the Chippewa River, shit’s blowin all the time.

This is a good point. Some more docks and market stuff coming, I think?

You know it’s not real right?

Oh jesus not this shit again. :(
