What a mess. This looks like it is on a trajectory to become the gaming equivalent of what happened when DH Lawrence’s relatives burned most of his material after he died. This trove of irreplaceable early gaming material is just going to end up lost.

Still think Dante’s finest moment was his appearance in Nocturne, possibly the most inspired video game crossover idea to ever come to fruition.

Microsoft sees Game Pass as the future, so expect this to be the rule more than the exception as time goes on. 

Not really a fan of the decision or the general idea of corporations policing my morality for me. I probably would never have heard of this game if not for the complaints and, even so, would not have bought it had I chance. I simply wouldn’t have engaged and gone on with my life. That is pretty much how it is supposed…

Legit thought that first shot (grappling the zombie) was from some iteration of the game where you didn’t teach Clem to keep her hair short. Wow.

It was a dumb thing to do, but honestly the “backlash” is a perfect example of social media “So what are we going to be outraged about today?” Twitter was a sea of clutched pearls, and all over a AMA on a site that would have quickly shown the stupidity of the endeavor (and apparently did, from what I hear).

Wow, disappointing to hear as a former Guild Wars player. Sounds like the community isn’t super-surprised based on delays, but still...between them and Blizzard, that’s a lot of people out there in the world scrambling for jobs. Best of luck to them. 

I’ve done that as well. Still on my bucket list that Square do a remaster that creates an epic narrative that includes playable portions of everything that just gets glossed over on Disc 2. They don’t need to make it super graphics like the FF7 update. Literally just uprezzing the pixel art would be fine.
