Nice. I was actually toying with the idea that Wells could even be another not-Flash-related time traveller, like Extant/Monarch. Dunno how that would tie in to the "Crisis", though.

Am I the only one disappointed that this isn't a simulation game starring a CGI likeness of Dwayne Johnson?
You're giving people — and academia — way too much credit. A lot of people study for their specific field, and do not try to apply their methodology to anything else in their life. Do you honestly believe that a man who's studied how to tell the difference between a benign mass of cells and cancer is going to waste…
Er, I never said romance. Nor did I mention a specific genre; Patricia Cornwell is a medical mystery/thriller author, while Daniele Steele does more than romance. I mentioned two particular authors with really bad writing.
That's not accurate. If she really wanted to simulate a character unfamiliar with gender, who's using a language with gendered pronouns, then that character should've been alternating between the use of he and she. That's how my country's native speakers regularly mess up English.
It's Tagalog. We only have one singular, third-person pronoun, the genderless siya (there's another on, ito/ayun, but it's used for inanimate objects/places). It's why most Filipinos you speak with will occasionally mix up the use of he/she or him/her. Not sure if it's rooted in Chinese, or Malay, as the dialect is a…
A Master's degree or a doctorate does not teach one critical thinking. I thought my mother's predilection for terrible literature was already proof of that. The problem — her problem — is that she spent a decade of her life studying to be critical about medicine, and not about pop culture or art. Hence, her poor…
As someone whose native tongue uses genderless pronouns, I do not see what all the hubbub is about.
Intelligence in one area does not automatically translate to mastery of all bodies of knowledge. Case in point, my mother, a doctor, thinks Patricia Cornwell and Danielle Steele are brilliant authors. My friend, a very good hacker/programmer, will fight tooth and nail against anything that's even slightly pro-GMO.…
My theories on Wells:
The climate change deniers don't just use the same tactics tobacco companies used, they're using the same tactics that the lead industry used to disprove the claim that lead products were not the cause of the obscene amount of lead traces in the atmosphere.
That number should be double. It didn't include the Mereen slaveowners that Daenerys crucified. IIRC there were over a hundred of them.
That wasn't a problem with the last three movies. Some of the best engineering came out during the ROTF line. And I hated that movie, BTW. Still do.
So tl;dr, it's the quad-core vs. octa-core issue all over again?
No mention of Batman's cape in the Arkham games, which is essentially a hang glider? I am disappoint.
DRM is ok, so long as it doesn't inconvenience the legit buyer. Steam's a good example of great DRM: not only do you not feel its presence (unless your connection is like super-shitty, or you haven't updated your client since the oughties), but it offers a marketplace, achievement tracker and community all at the same…
I'd add:
Why would it be gone? A physicist doesn't stop feeling awe about the universe just becaues he knows how it operates.
This is why, unless an especially controversial study has been peer-reviewed, assume bullshit.
TotalBiscuit reported that stability's the same, but game looks prettier.
